Tree Surgeon in North London – LG trees
Welcome to LG trees. Established in 2007, we are based in Hackney and cover north, east, and central London.
We are a personal, professional, fully qualified and fully insured team of tree surgeons that cares about trees.
Tree surgery qualifications and insurance
We have all the relevant City & Guilds qualifications or equivalent. These range from chainsaw maintenance to use of a chainsaw from a rope and harness and sectional felling. Luke is also an ISA Certified Arborist®; you can confirm his qualification by clicking here.
We have had £5 million public liability and £10 million employers’ insurance since 2010, without the need for a single claim. Confirmation of our insurance is available by clicking here.
More reasons to choose us
You have one contact throughout the whole process. After having evaluated the work in discussion with you, Luke Geddes will then email you a free, no obligation quote. If you accept that quote, he will lead the team that carries out the work. This means you can be confident that the work will be carried out as agreed.
We respect trees and take pride in leaving an attractive, healthy specimen with as natural a shape as possible. There are many photos of our work in our blog; click here to see them.
Careful property protection
We take great care in every aspect of our work. Safety comes first.
We also protect your property and that of any affected neighbours. Customers often say we’ve left the work area and access route tidier than we found it. See our services page here to find out how we achieve that.
Competitively priced tree surgery services
Our company is VAT exempt. So there is no additional 20% on the quoted amount when it comes time to pay the bill. Time and again our customers confirm that our work provides excellent value for money.
Here are a couple of examples of our work:
one from London, reducing a big lime tree bordering Hampstead Heath:
and the other from Anglesey, felling a big dead beech tree:
“LG trees are my preferred tree surgeons because they consistently provide excellent value for money, carrying out every job safely, professionally, and to budget. The last job they did for me was to climb and dismantle five large dead or dying ash, oak and beech trees that were in danger of falling onto a public road and newly constructed footpath. This was done predictably efficiently. My 80 year-old estate employee who removed the resulting timber by tractor and trailer for firewood told me afterwards that he had never seen anyone work as hard as Luke and his colleague did on that job.” Rupert.
