Contact us about our London tree surgery services
Hello, and thank you for coming to our contact page.
I will only use your email address and any other details you submit here to organise your tree work, and will not pass them to anyone else, or send you unsolicited marketing.
To ensure my emails land in your Inbox instead of your Spam folder, please whitelist the domain LGtrees.co.uk . Click here for tips on how to do that. Without whitelisting, Spam filters can be strangely temperamental. For example: they might allow my first couple of emails into your Inbox, then file the eventual quote in your Spam folder. This is important as in general I don’t make calls or send text messages for work; email is the only way I will communicate with you, other than in person.
This website is as safe as they come: try clicking on the padlock sign at the start of the web address, top left in your browser.
In line with Government advice, we are taking on all types of tree work, while following safety guidelines. This includes trying to stay 2m away from colleagues, customers and other members of their households, neighbours, and passersby.
Please assist us in minimising our interactions in person.
In advance, in writing, please give me as much detail as you can about what you would like to achieve from the work.
If you are happy for me to quote you an estimated price range based on photos, video, and or a Zoom call (you will need that set up on a mobile phone in advance), please choose that option below. Please also describe in the text box below the drop zone, i.e. the area beneath/near each tree, including in neighbours’ gardens as appropriate, and estimate each tree’s height and trunk diameter measured at chest height. It might help to know that each floor/storey in a house is about 3m. This is a new way of doing things, so it may take a while to sort out any teething issues.
Otherwise, I will arrange a mutually convenient time to visit to inspect your tree(s) in person, usually by bicycle if you’re close enough to N16 8DH.
I will then email you the quote, which will clearly state the proposed work, along with all other details. Please ensure you read the whole thing and are happy with it.
If you accept the quote, when we come to do the work there should be little need for any further interaction.
We are largely self-sufficient on the job.
We will already have agreed the job specification, in the quote.
Thank you, but we do not require access to your electricity, or drinks.
As a significant part of the job involves walking between the tree and the van with equipment and cuttings, we do ask for your help in blocking a big parking space (one and a half spaces i.e. 7m) for us, and providing visitor parking vouchers if you’re in a controlled parking zone, potentially for two vehicles. These should be placed in a plastic bag for us at least 72 hours before we come to do the work. Alternatively, we can organise a parking suspension at additional cost.
I, Luke, am partially deaf (not work related). This makes conversing difficult at the best of times, and particularly challenging at over 2m distance. So please forgive me for keeping it brief.
To arrange a visit for a free, no obligation quote by subsequent email, please complete the contact form below. I can help you get council permission if you need it. We are based in Hackney N16 8DH, and the majority of our work is within five miles. Particularly during busy periods, I may not be able to quote for work that is more than about five miles away. This is especially true of south and west London, where we don’t tend to get many enquiries.
You should get an automated reply by email within one hour acknowledging receipt of your completed contact form. If you don’t, and it’s not in your spam folder, then I haven’t received your completed form, so please try again. I aim to respond personally to all new enquiries within one week, but during busy periods it may take longer. This is because we have a rolling programme of work, and I work on every job from start to finish as well as handling all the business administration myself. So if you choose us, it’ll be the same person managing the whole process from start to finish, including leading in person the team that does the job itself. Thank you for your patience.
We do have some flexibility, so if you have an urgent job, for example a dead or dangerous tree that needs dealing with, please let us know.
Payment: if you hire us for your tree work, payment on job completion is by bank transfer on receipt of our invoice. We declare all our income to HMRC. We do not accept cash payment.
Thank you. I look forward to meeting you and your tree(s).
Due to administrative constraints and for efficiency reasons, I exclusively use email for work. I do not have a work phone number.
We do not supply wood chip, mulch, logs, stumps, branches, or any other tree based material; nor do we carry out tree surveys or produce tree reports.
We like pruning trees, not removing them, unless they are dead or dangerous. If you would like me to quote to remove a tree, please let me know why, and attach a photo or two to your contact form showing the whole tree and any damage.
