Reducing lime trees often involves re-pollarding, i.e. reducing back to stumps. This is standard practice for maintaining lime trees.
This job was different. The owner of a well known pub on Victoria Park asked us to reshape their lime trees, which they had pleached in the past.
The trees are in a conservation area and benefit from the additional protection of a Tree Preservation Order. We notified Hackney council of the intended work. Once the permission came through, we carried out the work one morning before the pub opened. You can see the impact of our work in the before and after photos below.
If you’ve liked seeing our work reducing lime trees, and you would like to discuss how we can help with your trees, hedges, shrubs or climbing plants, please get in touch.
