Hello, and thank you for coming to our contact page. Please read the information below before completing the form; it might save you and me some time.

You might find this most easily done on a computer or something similar, ideally with a bigger screen than a mobile phone.

To arrange a free, no obligation quote by email, please complete the contact form below.

I can help you get council permission if you need it. We cover North, East, and central London. We are based in Hackney, and the majority of our work is within about five miles’ drive of N16 8DH. I may not be able to quote for work beyond that (you can check your distance here), particularly if it’s less than a day’s work for two of us. We might take on jobs a bit further (maybe by a couple of miles’ drive) if you’re happy to accept at least an initial estimate based on photos (select that option below, and give as much detail as possible). We do not cover South or West London.

Even if you’re within about five miles of us, I recommend getting an initial estimate based on photos, just to give you an idea of cost. If you’re ok with that, then I’ll usually visit in person before sending the firm quote.

You should get an automated reply by email within one hour acknowledging receipt of your completed contact form. If you don’t, and it’s not in your spam folder (please check, and add my email to your contacts), then I haven’t received your completed form, so please try again, making sure there are no typos in your email address. I aim to respond personally to all new enquiries within one week, but during busy periods it may take longer. This is because we have a rolling programme of work, and I work on every job from start to finish as well as handling the administration. So if you choose us, it’ll be the same person managing the process from start to finish, including leading in person the team that does the job itself.

Our busiest time of year is September through March inclusive.

We remove all our cuttings as standard, and aim to leave the work area and access route at least as tidy as they were.

We do have some flexibility, so if you have an urgent job, for example a dead or dangerous tree that needs dealing with, please let us know.

Payment: if you hire us for your tree work, payment on job completion is by bank transfer on receipt of our invoice. We do not accept cash payment.

Thank you.

Luke

I will only use your email address and any other details you submit here to organise your tree work, and will not pass them to anyone else. This website is as safe as they come: try clicking on the padlock sign at the start of the web address, top left in your browser.

Due to administrative constraints and for efficiency reasons, I exclusively use email for work. I am a bit deaf (not work related), do not advertise a work phone number, and try to avoid talking on the phone.

We do not supply wood chip, mulch, logs, stumps, branches, or any other tree based material.

We do not produce tree reports, but we can put you in touch with people who do.

We can’t give official advice about potential damage to structures/buildings caused by trees (subsidence) or their removal (ground heave). Check with your building insurer, and/or a building surveyor.

We do not work on trees over or next to railway lines.

We do not own a stump grinder, but we can put you in touch with someone who does.

We do not use stump killer / poison / insecticide / herbicide.

We don’t recommend removing branches from one side of a tree, or reducing one side of a tree only. ‘Siding’ unbalances the tree, and can destabilise it. It also looks bad. A balanced reduction looks better, and leaves the tree more stable.

We like pruning trees, not removing them, unless they are dead or dangerous. If you would like me to quote to remove a tree, please let me know why, and attach a photo or two to your contact form showing the whole tree and any damage.

Technical problem with this form?

If you’ve completed and submitted the contact form, the form will vanish and be replaced by this: “Thank you for contacting LG trees. Luke will be in touch.”

If the form doesn’t work, please try updating your browser, or using a different browser. Only if the form still doesn’t work, please let me know at technical @lgtrees.co.uk (remove the space before the ‘@’) describing the problem and any error message, ideally attaching a screenshot. That email address is EXCLUSIVELY for letting me know about problems with the form. Messages about anything else sent to that email address, including enquiries about tree work, will not receive a reply. For enquiries about tree work, please complete the form above.
